Conformal-coated safety relay for harsh environments
The Siemens 6AG1226-6RA32-5XB0 is the SIPLUS version of the standard S7-1200 SM 1226 F-DQ 2x relay module (6ES7226-6RA32-0XB0), with conformal coating and an extended temperature range of -40 °C to 70 °C. It provides 2 fail-safe relay outputs, each rated 5 A maximum per circuit, with a total of 10 A across all circuits per module. Safety integrity is rated SIL 3 per IEC 61508 and Category 4, PL e per ISO 13849-1, making it suitable for guarding applications up to the highest performance level.
Environmental and coating specs
The conformal coating (Class A per IPC-CC-830A) protects against coolant, lubricant, and salt spray exposure — specified for ANSI/ISA-71.04 Level GX group A/B and EN 60721-3-3 class 3C4 environments. IP20 rated, so it mounts inside a panel that provides the environmental seal; the 70 mm width matches the standard S7-1200 form factor. The module draws 120 mA from the 5 V DC backplane bus and up to 300 mA from the load voltage L+ (range 20.4 V to 28.8 V).
