The 6AG1231-5QF30-4XB0: This SIPLUS variant maintains the standard S7-1200 footprint (100 x 45 x 75 mm) and 24 VDC supply (80 mA typical, 1.5 W), but the wider temperature window makes it suitable for outdoor enclosures, cold storage, or near hot machinery where standard modules would be out of spec.
Thermocouple coverage and diagnostics
Eight inputs accept the most used thermocouple types (J, K, T, E, R, S, N, C, and TXK/XK(L) per GOST). The ±80 mV range covers all standard thermocouple outputs without scaling. Cold junction compensation is built in with ±1.5 °C accuracy. Diagnostic alarms, wire-break detection, and parameterizable channel configuration are standard. The module reports diagnostics via the S7-1200 backplane; readout is supported without additional hardware. Supply voltage monitoring and common-mode rejection (120 dB, min.) guard against noise and brownout. Mount on standard 35 mm DIN rail with the required front connector (purchased separately). IP20; no enclosure sealing needed inside a panel.
Sourcing and lifecycle
Approvals include CE, FM, and RCM (formerly C-TICK). The module carries a five-time drop test rating of 0.3 m in its package. Compliance documentation (CE declaration, FM certificate) is available on request.
Panel fit and mounting
Parameterization is done in TIA Portal; the module is fully configurable (including input filter, wire-break response, and temperature units). The integrating measurement principle reduces noise on slow temperature signals.
