The 6AG1241-1CH32-4XB0: This is the SIPLUS variant of the standard CM 1241 RS-422/485 module (6ES7241-1CH32-0XB0), conformal coated and rated for a wider temperature range of -40°C to +70°C. It handles USS and ASCII protocols as library functions in TIA Portal, and supports Freeport programming for custom serial links. The single RS-422/485 interface is on a 9-pin D-sub (male) – watch the pinout if you are replacing a standard unit, the connector orientation is the same. Power draw is typical 1.2 W from the 24 V DC backplane; the supply can sag to 20.4 V and still hold the module up.
