The Siemens 6AG1243-2AA30-7XB0 is a SIPLUS S7-1200 CM 1243-2 AS-Interface master module that adds conformal coating and a wider operating temperature range to the standard CM 1243-2 design. It supports the M4 master profile (AS-Interface V3.0), handling up to 62 slaves and 496 digital inputs and outputs each. IP20 rating applies. Configuration runs through STEP 7 using the command interface, with access to analog I/O via data record transfer and digital I/O through the process image. AS-i connection uses screw terminals, and the module supports AS-i Power24V.
Horizontal mounting allows 0 to 55°C ambient; vertical mounting extends the range to -25 to +70°C. Maximum altitude 2 000m. The module is powered exclusively from the S7-1200 backplane bus; no external supply needed. Maximum 3 communication modules (CM/CP) per CPU.
