What this part is and why it matters
The Siemens 6AG1272-0AA30-2YA1 is the SIPLUS version of the S7-200 TD 200 text display – a ruggedized variant with conformal coating and an extended ambient temperature range of -40 to 70 °C. It communicates via PPI over RS485 at up to 187.5 kbit/s, mounts into a panel cutout 138 x 68 mm, and presents a 2-line LCD backlit display (20 ASCII characters per line, 10 for Chinese). Power is drawn from the S7-200 communications interface or an optional external 24 V DC supply; the CPU sensor supply is not loaded.

Mounting and wiring notes
Panel cutout is 138 mm wide by 68 mm high; overall depth behind the panel is 27 mm. Cabinet thickness between 0.3 and 4 mm is supported. The nine configurable system keys are programmed through the S7-200 CPU or via the TD 200 configuration tool. The PPI connection uses the same RS485 port as the S7-200 programming cable; no additional network wiring is needed for a single display. Up to 126 nodes are possible on the PPI network including the CPU and other operator panels.
