SIPLUS variant with conformal coating
The 6AG1278-4BD32-4XB0: The conformal coating (Class A per IPC-CC-830A) and resistance to coolants, lubricants, diesel, and oil droplets make it suitable for installations where airborne contaminants are present. It also meets ANSI/ISA-71.04 environmental conditions for process control systems, including Level GX group A/B gas resistance and salt spray (LC3) and oil (LB3) levels.
Temperature and altitude derating
Above 2000 m, derate the maximum temperature by 10 K up to 3500 m, and by 20 K up to 5000 m. Cold restart is guaranteed from 0 °C minimum, so the module can power up after a cold soak at -40 °C but must be warmed before cycling power.
Supply and power budget
Rated 24 VDC supply with a permissible range of 20.4 to 28.8 V, covering the full tolerance band for industrial 24 V rails including the ripple margin. Typical power loss is only 1 W, which keeps the thermal contribution to the enclosure low — relevant when stacking multiple modules in a confined cabinet.
Panel fit and diagnostics
A front connector is required (ordered separately). Onboard diagnostics function is included for channel-level fault indication.
