What this CPU is for
The Siemens 6AG1312-5BE03-2AB0 is the SIPLUS ruggedized version of the standard S7-300 CPU 312C (6ES7312-5BE03-0AB0). The addition of conformal coating and a widened ambient operating range of -25…+70 °C makes it suitable for panels exposed to condensation, vibration, or thermal cycling — not for general-purpose dry control rooms. Program memory is the same 32 KB as the base CPU, so any existing project compiled for the 312C loads unchanged. The form factor and mounting rail are identical; the only differences are the coating and temperature tolerance.
