What it is and what makes it different
The Siemens 6AG1314-6CG03-2AB0 is the SIPLUS ruggedized version of the S7-300 CPU 314C-2DP, based on the standard 6ES7314-6CG03-0AB0 with conformal coating and an extended ambient temperature range of -25…+70 °C. It packs 96 KB of work memory, 24 digital inputs, 16 digital outputs, 4 analog inputs, 2 analog outputs, 1 Pt100 input, and 4 high-speed counters (60 kHz) into a compact CPU with integrated MPI and PROFIBUS DP interface. The integrated power supply accepts 24 V DC. This is a current-production spare part (lifecycle stage: current), so it remains available for new designs and as a replacement for existing installations.
Integration requirements
The CPU requires a front connector (2x 40-pole) and a Micro Memory Card (MMC) — these are ordered separately. The integrated 24 V DC supply powers the backplane; no external load module needed. For a drop-in replacement, verify the MMC content and firmware version compatibility with your existing project.
