Ruggedized S7-300 for Harsh Environments
The 6AG1314-6CH04-2AY0: This is a Siemens S7-300 CPU with firmware version FM 8, designed for applications requiring EN 50155 railway certification and a wide ambient range of -40 to 70 °C. The isolated analog inputs handle ±10 V, 0–10 V, and ±20 mA / 0–20 mA / 4–20 mA signals with 100 Ω burden. Programming options include CFC, FBD, LAD, SCL, STL, and GRAPH. I²t rating is 0.7 A²·s, and the module supports Pt100 RTDs, RS485, and PROFIBUS GSD file integration.
Compliance and Sourcing Notes
The module carries a CE mark and is certified to EN 50155:2007, sections 4, 5, and 12, covering temperature, shock, vibration, and humidity for railway equipment. No RoHS, REACH, or UL statement appears in the spec sheet. Sourcing is on an RFQ basis – quote to order against your BOM line.
Analog Input Wiring and Isolation
Each analog channel is isolated and accepts voltage (±10 V or 0–10 V) via 100 kΩ input impedance, or current (±20 mA, 0–20 mA, 4–20 mA) via 100 Ω burden. For Pt100 RTDs, the module provides a direct connection. The RS485 port uses the same isolation barrier. When wiring, keep analog and digital cables separated in the trunking to preserve noise immunity.
