What this CPU carries
The 6AG1315-2FJ14-2AB0 is a Siemens S7-300 SFB CPU with FM 8 — that's eight function modules on the backplane, enough for a mid-size safety or motion cell. It runs CFC, FBD, LAD, SCL, STL, GRAPH, and HiGraph®, so whatever language your team standardized on, this CPU speaks it. IRT (isochronous real-time) is built in, which means deterministic PROFINET cycle jitter for drives or fast I/O. PROFIsafe is also on board, so safety logic lives in the same CPU without a separate F-CPU.
I/O and networking
Input and output process image each max out at 244 byte. The integrated PROFINET interface handles UDP and TCP/IP natively.
Environmental range
The I2t rating of 1 A²·s gives a quick check for fuse coordination on the 24 V supply — keep the upstream breaker fast enough to clear before the CPU's internal protection takes over.
This is a current-production Siemens S7-300 SFB CPU, still supported in TIA Portal and STEP 7 V5.5 or higher. It carries CE marking.
