Rail-certified CPU for the nacelle
The Siemens 6AG1315-2FJ14-2AY0 is a SIPLUS variant of the S7-300 CPU, built to survive where a standard CPU would quit. It carries EN 50155 certification covering sections 4, 5, and 12 at T1, Category 1, Class A/B per EN 50155:2007 — the rail rolling stock standard that also maps directly to wind turbine nacelle and offshore substation environments. The 8 MB firmware memory (FM 8) holds a substantial application — enough for pitch-control logic, condition-monitoring algorithms, and PROFIsafe safety functions on one CPU.
PROFINET IRT and fieldbus mix
Integrated PROFINET interface supports IRT (isochronous real-time) for deterministic motion or high-speed I/O, plus UDP and TCP/IP communication via loadable function blocks. The CPU also carries an RS 485 interface for a PtP or MPI subnet, and can handle up to 4 CPs for additional LAN connections or 8 CPs for PtP links. Programming requires STEP 7 V5.5 or higher — the full language set is supported: LAD, FBD, STL, SCL, GRAPH, CFC, and HiGraph.
This SIPLUS CPU is a current-production variant, sourced to order against your BOM quantity.
