16 relay outputs, 2 A per channel, -40 to 70 °C
The Siemens 6AG1322-1HH01-2AA0 is a digital output module for the S7-300 platform, packing 16 relay-switched outputs rated 2 A per channel for both resistive and inductive loads at 230 V AC and 24 V DC. The 2 A rating covers the common control loads: contactors, solenoid valves, signal lamps, and small motor starters. The relay outputs provide galvanic isolation between channels, so a short on one output won't cascade into the adjacent circuit.
Railway-grade build with EN 50155 certification
This is the SIPLUS variant, meaning it carries EN 50155 certification for rolling stock and trackside equipment — sections 4, 5, and 12, covering temperature class T1, category 1, class A/B. The standard S7-300 SM 322 relay output module (6ES7322-1HH01-0AA0) lacks this certification and the extended temperature range. The -40 to 70 °C operating range is the key differentiator from the standard 0 to 60 °C industrial module. For a BOM going into a rail application or a cold-climate installation, this is the part that stays within spec without a heater or derating.
Current production, sourced per RFQ
The module requires a 20-pin front connector (sold separately). The 40 mm width fits a single S7-300 slot; the 125 mm height and 120 mm depth match the standard S7-300 envelope, so it swaps into an existing rack without re-spacing.
Approvals and compliance for global installs
CE, UL (File E239877), KC, EAC, and RCM approvals are on file — the module clears for European, North American, Korean, Eurasian, and Australian markets without additional certification work. Isolation tested at 1 500 V AC between channels and the backplane bus. The 4.5 W typical power loss stays within the S7-300 rack budget; the 1 000 m shielded cable length gives headroom for distributed I/O in a railcar or plant floor layout.
