Comparison with standard variant
The 6AG1322-8BH10-7AB0: The standard 6ES7522-1BH01-0AB0 shares the same 16 DO footprint and basic diagnostics but is rated for the standard 0–60 °C range and lacks the UL/ATEX/FM markings at 60 °C. For panels requiring 70 °C ambient or hazardous location certification, this SIPLUS variant is the approved alternate. Electrical characteristics otherwise match; no rewiring needed when swapping within a panel that already uses the standard module but requires ambient-temperature headroom.
Integration and physical mounting
Mounts on the S7-1500 DIN rail, 40 mm wide, requires a 40-pin front connector (not included). Diagnostic data is readable via the backplane; wire-break and short-circuit alarms are group and per-channel respectively. Response time 3 ms per transition. Derating applies above 60 °C: at 70 °C per-channel current drops to 0.5 A. Between-channel isolation is not provided — common load groups must be managed at the wiring level.
