The Siemens 6AG1326-1RF00-4AB0 is a fail-safe digital input module for Ex(i) applications. It reads eight NAMUR sensors (per DIN 19234) in hazardous areas, supplies 8.2 V DC to the loop, and reports diagnostic alarms for line faults and sensor breakage. Rated for 0 °C to 60 °C ambient, it occupies a 40-pin slot on the backplane. Power loss is 4.5 W typical. In a single-channel configuration it achieves SIL 2, Category 3, and AK 4; two-channel wiring lifts that to SIL 3, Category 4, and AK 6.
