What this module does and where it fits
The Siemens 6AG1326-1RF00-4AB0 is a fail-safe digital input module for Ex(i) applications. It reads eight NAMUR sensors (per DIN 19234) in hazardous areas, supplies 8.2 V DC to the loop, and reports diagnostic alarms for line faults and sensor breakage. Rated for 0 °C to 60 °C ambient, it occupies a 40-pin slot on the backplane. Power loss is 4.5 W typical. In a single-channel configuration it achieves SIL 2, Category 3, and AK 4; two-channel wiring lifts that to SIL 3, Category 4, and AK 6.

The module carries UL (File E239877), FM (CofC 3028431), CE, KC, EAC, and RCM approval. Isolation tested at 500 V DC between channels and the backplane.
