What lands on the DIN rail
The Siemens 6AG1331-7KB02-2AB0 is an analog input module that accepts thermocouples, the common RTD types — Pt 100 and Ni 100 — and a broad set of voltage, current and resistance ranges. One parameterizable module covers thermocouples, resistance thermometers and standard process signals, which is what makes it a sensible single-line BOM entry for a mixed sensor panel rather than a dedicated card per signal type. The module carries a CE mark, a KC approval and a UL listing under file E239877, so it is documented for North American, European and Korean panel builds.
What it will and will not read
The supported thermocouple list is B, E, J, K, N; R, S, T, L and U are not on the supported list, so a Type K or Type J probe is the safe default and a Type T low-temperature bath probe needs a different module. RTD coverage is Pt 100 and Ni 100; Cu 10 is not supported. The module is not specified against the rail vehicle or trackside EMC standards, so those environments need a different variant; the listed industrial compliance is UL/CE/KC only.
