Thermocouple coverage and signal integrity
The Siemens 6AG1331-7PF11-4AB0 is an analog input module for the S7-300 platform that reads eleven thermocouple types: B, C, E, J, K, L, N, R, S, T, and U. It reads types J, K, T for general process, R and S for high-temp, plus L, U, and C for specialty applications. It does not accept RTD inputs (Pt100, Pt1000, Ni100, Ni1000) or voltage/current signals — this is strictly a millivolt-level thermocouple interface, so the cold-junction compensation is internal and the module expects bare TC wire, not a 4-20 mA transmitter.
Temperature range and approvals for harsh environments
The 40 mm width fits a standard S7-300 slot; the 125 mm height and 120 mm depth match the rest of the S7-300 family, so it aligns with neighbouring modules on the DIN rail without protruding.
