Extended-temperature analog acquisition
The 6AG1331-7SF00-4AB0: Eight channels accept thermocouples (types B, E, J, K, L, N, R, S, T, U) or resistance thermometers (Pt 100, Pt 200, Ni 100), configurable per channel. The module draws 0.6 W typ from the 24 VDC backplane supply, so the thermal budget inside a crowded IP20 enclosure stays manageable even when the cabinet sits next to a steam line.
Channel configuration and wiring constraints
The 20-pin front connector (ordered separately) terminates all eight analog inputs plus the shield connection. For thermocouple inputs the maximum shielded cable run is 50 m; for RTD or resistance measurements the limit extends to 200 m, provided the cable capacitance and loop resistance stay within the module's input stage compliance. The module reports group fault via the red SF LED and supports overrange and diagnostic functions — a commissioning engineer can map the channel status directly into the safety CPU's fault word without external signal conditioners.
