The 6AG1342-5DA02-2XE0: The module works as a DP slave under PROFIBUS, supporting standard cyclic I/O data exchange. Address ranges go up to 244 byte each for inputs, outputs, and diagnostic data per slave. Mechanical footprint: single-width S7-300 module – 40×125×120 mm (W×H×D) with IP20 protection. Plugs into any standard S7-300 rail slot; the 4‑pole terminal block for the 24 V supply is at the front.
What the environment adds
Operating temperature –25 to +60 °C, with transport/storage down to –40 °C. The conformal coating protects against humidity, sand, dust (EN 60721-3-3 class 3S4 and 6S3), and the module is chemically resistant to commercially available cooling lubricants and airborne diesel/oil droplets.
One distinction from the standard CP
The SIPLUS adds conformal coating and –25 °C low-end capability with the same PROFIBUS firmware and addressing. It uses the same PROFIBUS interface (9-pin Sub-D) and requires STEP 7 V5.1 SP2 or higher.
