Integrator's field note
The 6AG1343-1CX10-2XE0: Single-width S7-300 module, 40 mm on the rail, with a built-in two-port switch that handles PROFINET IO communication. DCP and LLDP let you discover and map devices without manual IP assignment – saves time when commissioning a new line. The 5.8 W power draw is modest, but add it to the backplane budget if you're loading a rack with multiple modules. Ring redundancy is supported, so you can cable a media ring without an external switch. This isn't a managed switch (no SNMP management enable) but the built-in switch function and ring capability cover basic network resilience needs.
Wiring and panel fit
The first interface runs at 10–100 Mbit/s via an RJ45 port. Supply voltage is 24 V – check polarity before plugging; the module isn't reverse-voltage protected on the terminal block.
Sourcing and BOM fit
Standard catalog module, current lifecycle. Specify into new S7-300 builds. Source against an RFQ for firm lead time and pricing.
