Panel fit and input wiring
The 6AG1350-2AH01-4AE0 is a Siemens S7-300 counter module that snaps onto the standard DIN rail in the same 80 mm wide slot as any other S7-300 signal module. It carries 8 NAMUR inputs per DIN 19 234 alongside 8 standard 24 V digital inputs, so a single module handles both proximity-initiated counting and discrete sensor feedback without a separate interface. Shielded encoder cable runs up to 600 m; unshielded drops to 100 m. The 24 VDC supply draws 10 W typical, and the module sinks 200 mA max on the output side.
Counting limits and signal thresholds
Counting frequency maxes at 20 kHz for the counter inputs, with incremental encoder mode limited to 10 kHz. The 8 counter channels are 32-bit or ±31-bit wide. Digital input filtering is selectable: the hardware interrupt and diagnostic alarm are parameterizable, and the input transition from 0 to 1 can be read at 50 µs or 300 µs depending on the filter setting. Signal thresholds follow standard S7-300 24 V logic: signal 0 is -3 to +5 V, signal 1 is 11 to 30.2 V with a typical draw of 9 mA per input. The module also accepts 2-wire sensors and 24 V directional elements for encoder counting.
