Fault-tolerant CPU for S7-400H racks
The Siemens 6AG1412-3HJ14-4AB0 is a SIPLUS S7-400 CPU 412-3H, an SFB-type processor built for the S7-400H fault-tolerant automation system. Its function manual (FM) limits the configuration by the number of slots and connections in the rack, so the actual I/O count and communication links depend on the backplane and power supply chosen.
Wide temperature and onboard fieldbus
Rated for 0 °C to 60 °C ambient, this CPU fits into conditioned cabinets and industrial enclosures without derating across the range. The onboard RS 485 interface supports both MPI and PROFIBUS DP, so it can talk to operator panels, drives, and remote I/O without an extra CP module. Digital I/O capacity reaches 4096 inputs and 4096 outputs, enough for medium-to-large distributed plants. The CPU measures 50 mm wide, 290 mm high, and 219 mm deep — standard S7-400 form factor that snaps into the rack.
Programming and engineering tools
Supports LAD, FBD, STL, SCL, GRAPH, and CFC programming — covers ladder, function block, structured text, and continuous function chart. STEP 7 engineering is required; the CPU also handles routing, forcing, and a full set of system-diagnosis blocks.
The 6AG1412-3HJ14-4AB0 carries a CE mark.
