The 6AG1461-0AA01-2AA0 is a SIPLUS variant of the standard S7-400 IM 461-0 RX interface module, built on the 6ES7461-0AA01-0AA0 base hardware but with conformal coating and a widened operating range of -25 °C to +60 °C. The 60 °C ceiling is the full temperature rating at sea level; above 2 000 m altitude you need to derate by 10 K up to 3 500 m and by 20 K up to 5 000 m, per the ambient air temperature-barometric pressure-altitude table.
Physical fit and backplane power budget
The module occupies a single slot in the S7-400 rack at 25 mm wide, 290 mm tall, 217 mm deep — same footprint as the standard IM 461-0, so it swaps directly into an existing rack without re-drilling or changing the backplane. It draws 290 mA from the 5 V DC backplane bus, with a total power loss of 1 450 mW — well within the power budget of a standard S7-400 power supply, but worth checking if the rack is already heavily loaded. The cable length between the first and last interface module in the segment is limited to 5 m, which governs how far you can stretch the rack-to-rack link.
