System power supply for S7-1500
The Siemens 6AG1507-0RA00-7AB0 is a SIPLUS S7-1500 power supply delivering 60 W to the backplane bus, rated for -40 to +70 °C with conformal coating for harsh environments. It accepts 120 V or 230 V AC/DC input (permissible range 85–264 V AC, 88–300 V DC) and provides short-circuit protection, redundancy capability, and an uprating feature for increased reliability. The unit occupies DIN-rail space: 70 mm wide, 147 mm high, 129 mm deep, IP20 rated, with isolation tested at 2 500 V DC.
Temperature range and output derating
The full -40 to +70 °C operating range suits outdoor cabinets, cold storage, or high-heat process areas. Derating also applies to altitude: the rating holds from -1 000 m to +2 000 m at standard atmospheric pressure. Up to 2 000 m, no additional margin is required. The supply maintains 20 ms ride-through on mains failure, enough for most PLC hold-up capacitors to bridge through a cycle drop.
