The backup time is 6 weeks at 40 °C ambient – typical for a healthy retentive memory, no battery change anxiety during a shutdown window. Process image handles 32 kbyte each for inputs and outputs, enough for a mid-size station without a remote rack. If you need more than four communication modules (PROFIBUS, PROFINET, Ethernet) you're looking at a bigger CPU.
Programming and connectivity notes
You can program in LAD, FBD, SCL, STL, and GRAPH – no translator needed if your team uses mixed languages. Built-in MODBUS TCP lets it talk to third-party drives or sensors without an extra module. MRP redundancy manager is enabled out of the box; set the ring topology and it handles the switchover. Note: DHCP is not supported (no DIP to enable it), so keep addressing via DCP or LLDP. The web server serves both standard and custom pages – handy for a quick health check from a phone on the floor.
