The 6AG1511-1AK01-7AB0: On the network side it carries PROFINET IRT with MRPD, enabling isochronous motion on the same cable as standard IO and MRP ring redundancy — critical for drive lines and high-availability plant networks. It acts as an MRP redundancy manager or client, supporting up to 50 devices in the ring. Process image is 32 kbyte for both inputs and outputs — enough headroom for a medium-sized distributed rack with analog and digital signals. The CPU also integrates a PID controller with auto-tuning for temperature and a three-step PID for valves, plus a web server with editable pages for diagnostics via HTTPS or HTTP. MODBUS TCP and UDP are built in; additional communication modules (CM/CP) are limited to four. Programming languages supported include LAD, FBD, STL, SCL, and GRAPH — no difference from the standard CPU on that front. The hardware clock is battery-backed.
