Integrator note: extended-temperature CPU for controlled loops
The SIPLUS 6AG1511-1AK02-2AB0 is the hardware variant of the standard S7-1500 CPU designed for ambient conditions from -40 °C to 70 °C. All process inputs and outputs are mapped into a 32 kB image (inputs and outputs each 32 kB), which directly sets the maximum I/O count for your rack. Programming languages include LAD, FBD, STL, SCL, and GRAPH; the unit also carries integrated PID controllers for temperature and valve control. Network resilience is supported through MRP (redundancy manager and client, ring up to 50 devices) and MRPD (requiring IRT). For fieldbus integration, MODBUS TCP is built in; a maximum of four communication modules (PROFIBUS, PROFINET, Ethernet) can be added via the CM connector.
Compliance and documentation posture
Hardware clock with I&M data 0–3, diagnostic LEDs, DCP support. Lifecycle status not published; request supplier declaration when quoting.
Mounting and integration checklist
Envelope dimensions: 35 mm wide, 147 mm high, 129 mm deep – fits a standard DIN-rail S7-1500 slot. The process image limit (32 kB inputs, 32 kB outputs) must be observed when configuring the I/O bus; distributed I/O counts toward this image. For network redundancy, the unit can serve as MRP manager in rings of up to 50 nodes; MRPD requires IRT basis. Four CM/CP slots are available for additional fieldbus interfaces. The integrated PID loops (temperature, valve) execute in the CPU cycle without an external controller.
