Compared to the standard S7-1500 CPU 6ES7511-1AK02-0AB0, this SIPLUS variant extends the temperature range to -40 °C to 70 °C and adds conformal coating for harsh environments. The standard unit operates 0 °C to 60 °C. All other functional ratings (process image, I&M data, programming languages) remain identical, so a programme migrated from the standard CPU requires no changes. The SIPLUS CPU also matches the standard unit in MRP, IRT, and MRPD capability, meaning the redundancy and motion-control features are identical for a system that already uses these protocols.
The CPU dimensioned at 70 mm width, 147 mm height, 129 mm depth, matching the standard S7-1500 form factor. Installation in a panel originally wired for the standard unit requires no mechanical alteration. All I/O and backplane connectors are identical. Programming languages supported: LAD, FBD, STL, SCL, GRAPH. The CPU includes integrated PID controllers for temperature and valve control.
