The Siemens 6AG1512-1DK01-2AB0 CPU has a 32 kbyte input and 32 kbyte output process image, supports PROFINET IRT and MRP manager/client, and MRPD (requires IRT). The hardware clock synchronizes time stamps across the network. No PROFIsafe integration on this CPU, so it is not used as the safety controller in a SIL-rated zone. Use a separate F-CPU or F-module for safety functions. The wide protocol stack includes MODBUS TCP, HTTP/HTTPS, SNMP, LLDP, DHCP/DNS, and UDP, which simplifies integration into mixed-vendor networks. The I2t rating of 0.14 A²·s is relevant for coordination of the internal power supply path when designing the panel selective protection scheme. For installations with high ambient temperatures, the 100 x 117 x 75 mm footprint fits standard DIN-rail spacing; ensure clearance above and below for ventilation.
