The 6AG1513-1AL00-2AB0: Supports MRP as redundancy manager with up to 50 devices in the ring, which eliminates the need for a separate ring manager switch in a ring topology. Web server and HTTPS are standard, allowing custom diagnostics pages; MODBUS TCP is natively supported without an additional module. IRT, LLDP, SNMP, and DHCP (disabled) round out the network stack.
Programming languages and integration
The CPU can be programmed in LAD, FBD, STL, SCL, and GRAPH (as of STEP 7 V12 SP1). PID control includes for valve applications with integrated optimization. S7 routing is enabled, and up to 6 communication modules (PROFINET + PROFIBUS) can be added. Physical footprint is 35 mm wide x 147 mm high x 129 mm deep, fitting the standard S7-1500 mounting profile. Integrated PROFINET interface runs at 100 Mbps.
Specified for harsh-environment projects: cold storage, outdoor cabinets, or non-conditioned factory spaces where the standard 0–60 °C CPU would require additional climate control. The MODBUS TCP and MRP features simplify retrofit into existing plant networks without extra gateways.
