Protocol bundle — what it speaks natively
On the PROFINET side it carries IRT (for isochronous motion) and MRPD (for media redundancy with planned duplication); both require IRT-active switches in the ring. Handles MRP as redundancy manager or client, ring limited to 50 devices, and supports MRPD for high-availability topologies. PROFIsafe is integrated — no separate safety module needed for failsafe I/O communication over PROFINET. Other protocols: MODBUS TCP server/client, UDP, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS (standard and custom pages), SNMP, LLDP, DCP, and I&M data (I&M0 to I&M3).
Programming and diagnostics
All standard IEC languages are available: LAD, FBD, SCL, STL, GRAPH. LAD and FBD include failsafe variants, so safety logic is written in the same editors as standard logic. Built-in PID controllers cover temperature and valve positioning. Diagnostics LEDs for ERROR and MAINT, plus a hardware clock for precise timestamping.
