What this CPU is built for
The 6AG1516-3AN02-7AB0: It integrates a PROFINET IO controller with MRP redundancy manager/client support, allowing ring topologies of up to 50 devices. That means a single ring failure won't drop communications. Process image is 32 kbyte each for inputs and outputs — enough for a mid-sized machine cell or a small process skid. All programming languages are onboard: LAD, FBD, SCL, STL, GRAPH, plus PID controllers for temperature and valve control.

The -40 to 70 °C range is exclusive to this SIPLUS variant.
