Siemens SIPLUS S7-1500 CPU 6AG1516-3FN00-2AB0 extends the operating temperature to -40 °C to 70 °C, covering installations from cold storage to hot-press zones. Supports failsafe FBD and LAD programming, PROFINET IRT with MRP redundancy manager handling up to 50 devices, and Modbus TCP. Integrated 32 kbyte process image for both inputs and outputs. The I²t withstand is 0.02 A²·s — relevant if the supply circuit can deliver high short-term energy. Same 70 mm width and 147 mm height as the standard 6ES7516, so it fits existing S7-1500 backplanes without rework.
Panel integration notes
Mount on standard S7-1500 DIN rail; 70 mm width leaves room for adjacent modules. Accepts up to 8 communication processors or CPs via the front slots. Built-in HTTP/HTTPS servers allow user-defined diagnostic pages. and controllers with integrated optimization are available for temperature and valve applications. DCP (Dynamic Configuration Protocol) is enabled for automated device naming on PROFINET.
