CPU 1517H-4 PN – SIPLUS variant for redundant control
The 6AG1517-4HQ10-4AB0: This is the ruggedized SIPLUS version of the standard S7-1500 CPU 1517H-4 PN (6ES7517-4HQ10-0AB0) with conformal coating applied. It is rated for 0 °C to +60 °C ambient operation, and it retains the full high-availability features of the base CPU: 4 MB work memory for program, 50 MB for data, and four PROFINET interfaces – the first with a 2-port switch, plus a dedicated H-SYNC interface for redundant system coupling.
Lifecycle and compliance – active, restricted return

Integration notes – memory card required, conformal coating limits
A SIMATIC Memory Card is mandatory; the CPU has no onboard load memory. The conformal coating protects against condensation and aggressive atmospheres but does not permit direct field wiring modifications – plan all I/O terminations at the panel build stage. The four PROFINET interfaces allow separate network segments for control, I/O, and H-SYNC, but the H-SYNC ports must be directly cabled between redundant CPUs without intermediate switches.
