The coating protects the board assembly against condensation, corrosive gases, and dust ingress common in furnace-adjacent enclosures, chemical processing skids, and outdoor cabinet installations where the standard uncoated CPU would risk tracking failures.

Work memory is split 12 MB for program logic and 150 MB for data — enough to hold a large control application with extensive recipe tables, trend logs, or camera-inspection result buffers without an external memory card for the runtime image. Three independent Ethernet interfaces: two PROFINET IRT ports each with an integrated 2-port switch (line topology without external switches), plus a third Ethernet port for plant-network separation or OPC UA server traffic.
