Input module for warm-panel density
The Siemens SIPLUS 6AG1521-1BL00-7AB0 is a 32-channel digital input module for the S7-1200 system, handling 24 V DC sink/source signals. The key limitation: above +60 °C ambient, only 16 inputs can be switched simultaneously – plan your input count per slot if the panel runs hot. Power draw is 4.2 W typical, and the module isolates between channels at 75 V DC/60 V AC base isolation.
Panel fit and wiring notes
35 mm wide, 129 mm deep, 147 mm tall – it fits standard S7-1200 mounting rails with one module width. Unshielded cable runs up to 600 m; shielded up to 1 000 m. The input threshold for signal 1 is +11 to +30 V at a typical 2.5 mA per channel. Diagnostic alarms and hardware interrupts are parameterizable, with firmware V1.0.0.
Pure input vs. combination module
The 6AG1521-1BL00-7AB0 is a pure 32-channel input block. Compared to the SIPLUS 6AG1123-2DB03-2AX0 (16 digital inputs + 16 digital outputs), this module delivers double the input capacity per slot and fewer wiring terminals on the output side. Choose this when your BOM needs input density and you already have output coverage elsewhere.
