The 6AG1522-5FF00-7AB0: Lifecycle is marked current – no end-of-life horizon. The module is available through standard Siemens distribution and is quoted to order. There is no obligation to stockpile. Because it is the SIPLUS variant, lead times may track the standard version or run slightly longer depending on coating batch schedules. If you need to lock in a multi-year production run, an RFQ with a blanket volume forecast gives pricing leverage. For a one-off BOM fill, confirm availability with your account manager.
Integration notes for panel builders
Mounts on standard 35 mm DIN rail. Depth 129 mm leaves room for wiring ducts and cable bundles. Width 35 mm – one slot width on an S7-1500 rail. The module has no internal short-circuit protection; each output must be fused externally with a fast-acting fuse rated for at least the load current (max 2 A). Fast startup (500 ms) means the module will assert its configured output states within half a second of bus power-up, which can affect sequence logic if other modules have longer startup times. The triac outputs switch AC only; verify polarity of any series auxiliary relays. I&M data (I&M0–I&M3) is supported for asset management. The module provides RUN (green) and ERROR (red) LEDs plus per-channel status LEDs (green). Diagnostic alarm and isochronous mode are not available.
