Temperature range with a mounting constraint
Rated for -40 to 70 °C in horizontal installation, but that drops to 40 °C max when mounted vertically. The vertical minimum stays at -40 °C, with startup permitted from -25 °C. That constraint governs the orientation decision in panels without forced airflow. Mounts on the S7-1500 mounting rail. Dimensions are 147 x 35 x 127 mm (H x W x D), fitting a single-wide slot on the rail.
PROFIBUS DP interface specifics
Transmission rate is 19.2 kbit/s max; cable length is 1 200 m max. Data bits: 7 or 8; stop bits: 1 or 2 bit; parity: none, even, odd, always 1, always 0, any. Telegram buffer is 2 kbyte; max telegram length is 1 kbyte. Diagnostic alarm and wire-break detection are present, along with I&M data (I&M 0) and fast startup capability. Hardware interrupt is not supported.
