The Siemens 6AG1542-5FX10-7XE0 is a SIPLUS version of the CP 1542-5, based on standard unit 6GK7542-5FX10-0XE0, with conformal coating and extended temperature range. It connects an S7-1500 controller to PROFIBUS DP networks as either a DP-V1 master or DP slave, handling S7 communication, PG/OP communication, time synchronization, and diagnostics. The reduced quantity structure means it targets applications requiring fewer units, such as isolated or remote stations. Startup at -25 °C; operating range -40 to +70 °C. Conformal coating is applied.
