The Siemens 6AG1590-0BH00-7AA0 is a SIPLUS extreme active backplane bus for the S7-1500 system. It provides eight slots for I/O modules with hot-swap capability and is the conformal-coated version rated for -40 to +70 °C operation. This backplane is based on the standard S7-1500 backplane 6ES7590-0BH00-0AA0, with added conformal coating and extended temperature range for use in harsh or condensing environments. The mounting rail and slot covers are not included and must be ordered separately.
Comparison with standard S7-1500 backplane
The standard backplane 6ES7590-0BH00-0AA0 is the uncoated base version without the -40 to +70 °C rating. If the environment does not require conformal coating or extended temperature, the standard backplane is the direct alternative and shares the same mechanical footprint and electrical interface. For a line that already runs standard S7-1500 hardware, this SIPLUS variant can be dropped in as a direct replacement when coating is needed — no change to wiring or module placement.

Integration and mounting notes
