What this SIPLUS HMI brings to a panel
PROFINET is onboard, plus MODBUS TCP/IP and standard Ethernet, meaning it talks natively to S7-1200 and S7-1500 controllers (and S7-200, WinAC, and LOGO! with some address-area restrictions). Rear protection is IP20, so it mounts inside a panel with a sealed gland plate — not a washdown front. The sound signal output gives a local audible alert without an extra buzzer module.
Fieldbus and protocol fit
This panel does not carry CAN, IRT, MPI, or PROFIBUS — the fieldbus slice is PROFINET RT plus MODBUS TCP/IP. If your line uses IRT motion control or PROFIBUS DP, this unit won't drop in without a gateway. For standard S7-1200/1500 Ethernet networks, it connects directly. DHCP and LLDP are supported for automatic address assignment in managed-switch environments.
IP20 rear means the electronics are protected against solid objects >12.5 mm but not against moisture — the panel cutout must seal the front bezel to the enclosure. The -30 °C low end is storage and operation; verify the LCD response time at extreme cold if touch response matters. Sound signal is a local tone generator, not a recorded voice output. Plastic housing, no aluminum bezel option on this variant.
