What It Is and Why It Matters
This SIPLUS NET RJ45 plug 90 2x2 (6AG1901-1BB20-7AA0) is the conformal-coated variant of the standard 6GK1901-1BB20-2AA0, specified for environments where moisture, condensation, or particulate ingress would compromise a standard connector. Rated for -40 to +70 °C during operation, it survives the thermal extremes inside unheated cabinets or outdoor enclosures without derating.
Where the Coating Changes the Decision
Against the base 6GK1901-1BB20-2AA0, the SPLUS version adds a protective conformal coating on the PCB and contacts. That coating is the only difference — same metal housing, same FC cut-and-clamp contacts for 4-wire TP FC cable, same 10/100 Mbit/s transfer rate, same Cat5 structured cabling standard. Choose this if your panel sees condensation, washdown, or unsealed cabinets; the standard plug belongs in climate-controlled enclosures with a clean environment.
Field Termination and Mounting
Integrated cut-and-clamp contacts eliminate the need for a separate stripping tool on Industrial Ethernet FC TP cables — strip the cable to length, push the wires into the connector, and clamp with the included lever. The 90° cable outlet keeps the cable flush against the panel wall, saving depth behind the patch panel or device port.
