4-Output DC Distribution Module for 24 V Panels
The Siemens 6AG1961-2BA41-7AA0 is a 4-output power distribution module that takes a controlled 24 V DC supply (22…30 V) and delivers four individually protected outputs with monitored status. It snaps onto a DIN rail EN 60715 35×7.5/15 and occupies 72 mm width, 80 mm height per enclosure. Input terminals accept 0.5…16 mm² on the +24 V screw terminals and 0.5…4 mm² on the 0 V side. Each output (1…4) has its own screw terminal handling 0.5…4 mm², plus a signaling contact terminal for the same wire range. It carries CE marking and is certified to EN 60950-1 and EN 50178 for safety, with EMC emission per EN 55022 Class B and immunity per EN 61000-6-2.
Overcurrent Protection Behavior
Each output has a non-accessible 15 A fuse protection at the input side. If output current exceeds the set value by 1.0…1.5×, the module switches off after approximately 5 seconds. A current limitation stage triggers at 1.5× set value with a typical switch-off delay of 100 ms. If input voltage drops below 20 V while output current exceeds the set point, the module shuts off within 0.5 ms. A three-color LED per output shows green for normal conduction, yellow for manual off, and red for overcurrent trip. The remote reset function uses a non-electrically isolated 24 V input (signal high above 15 V) to clear the fault.
Output Voltage and Sequential Connection
Output voltage is a controlled DC voltage equal to input voltage minus typically 0.2 V. The module can simultaneously connect all outputs after power-up above 20 V with selectable delay (25 ms, 100 ms, or load-optimised via DIP switch). Parallel switching of outputs is not permitted. Residual leakage current when switched off is typically 1 mA. The overvoltage withstand rating is 35 V.
Sourcing and Lifecycle
It is sourced to order against an RFQ. For BOM line items requiring a confirmed fit, the terminal range and mounting dimensions shown above allow a direct check against existing panel wiring and DIN rail allocation.
