The Siemens 6AG1972-0BA12-2XA0 is a SIPLUS DP PROFIBUS plug with RS-485 screw terminals, a 90° cable outlet, and no PG programming port. It is based on the standard 6ES7972-0BA12-0XA0 but adds conformal coating for use in condensing or dusty environments. Rated for PROFIBUS DP networks from 9.6 kbit/s up to 12 Mbit/s, with an integrated terminating resistor that can be switched in via a slide switch. The 90° cable outlet keeps the cable close to the panel surface, saving space in crowded cabinets.
