The Siemens 6DR5112-.....-.... is a SIPART PS2 smart electropneumatic positioner with 4-20mA HART input, rated for both Ex and non-Ex environments. Single-acting design with a stainless steel enclosure and no window, it drives pneumatic linear and part-turn actuators. Non-contacting (wear-free) position detection (NCS) eliminates mechanical linkage wear — no pressure sensor option P01/P02 fitted here.
The 4-20mA HART loop is the standard analog + digital interface for process valve control — compatible with any DCS or PLC that supports HART protocol. Single-acting means one pneumatic output drives a spring-return actuator; for double-acting actuators you need the dual-acting variant. The SST enclosure (stainless steel) handles washdown and corrosive atmospheres better than aluminum.
