Positioner for final control elements
The Siemens 6DR5222-.....-.... is a SIPART PS2 smart electropneumatic positioner accepting a 4-20 mA (3/4-wire) HART input signal, configured for double-acting actuators in Ex/nEx environments. The stainless steel enclosure with no window suits it for washdown or corrosive atmospheres where a sight glass would be a weak point. It handles both linear and part-turn pneumatic actuators, so it covers sliding-stem globe valves and quarter-turn ball or butterfly valves from the same unit.
