The Siemens 6DR5512-.....-.... is a SIPART PS2 smart electropneumatic positioner with a PROFIBUS PA interface, designed for pneumatic linear and part-turn actuators. It is single-acting, housed in a stainless steel enclosure without a window, and rated for both Ex and non-Ex environments. This is the variant you spec when the control loop runs on PROFIBUS PA and the actuator needs a rugged, corrosion-resistant housing — typical for chemical, oil-and-gas, or water-treatment valve skids where the positioner lives close to the process.
