Panel fit and output load
The Siemens 6ED1052-1CC01-0BA8 is a LOGO! 24CE logic module running on 24 V DC, packing 8 digital inputs of which 4 can be used in analog mode (0 to 10 V) and 4 transistor outputs each rated 0.3 A with build-in short-circuit protection (1 A). It mounts on 35 mm DIN rail and occupies 4 spacing units (71.5 mm wide, 60 mm deep, 90 mm high), making it a tight fit for panels where every slot counts.
Outputs are transistor type instead of relays, so inductive loads need external flyback diodes and the load current is limited to 0.3 A per channel vs 3 A (inductive) or 10 A (resistive) on the relay peer. The unit itself supplies internal short-circuit protection on the outputs, eliminating the external fuse required on the relay version.
Approvals include CE, UL, CSA, FM, Marine, and VDE; it also meets radio interference suppression limit class B per EN55011 for residential use.
Environmental and supply
Rated operating range 0 °C to 55 °C (extended to -20 °C for LOGO! 8 FS04 and higher firmware versions); storage temperature is covered by the datasheet. Power reserve lasts 480 h, and it runs 190 integrated functions with Ethernet connectivity for web server and data logging.
