Universal supply, relay outputs, DIN-rail footprint
The Siemens 6ED1052-1FB00-0BA4 is a LOGO! 230RC logic module with an integrated display and keypad. It accepts both AC and DC supply across 115 V and 230 V (permissible range 100–253 V DC), so it fits control panels fed from a 230 V line or a 115 V control transformer without a separate power supply module. The I/O complement is 8 digital inputs and 4 relay outputs.
I/O map and external protection
The 8 digital inputs are all 24 VDC-compatible? No — this is the 230RC variant, so the inputs are rated for AC/DC 230 V, not 24 V. That means the field wiring runs at line voltage, and the inputs are optically isolated. The 4 relay outputs are form-A (normally open) contacts; the common terminal carries the load return. There is no built-in short-circuit protection on the outputs — external fusing is required per the spec. A 10 A fast-blow fuse on each output group protects the relay contacts and the downstream wiring. The module holds an 80-hour power reserve (the internal capacitor-backed real-time clock and program memory), so a brief line drop won't lose the program or the time stamp.
Current production, global approvals
It is developed in accordance with IEC 61131 and VDE 0631, and classified as limit class B for residential-area use — relevant if the panel sits in a mixed-use building.
