What this LOGO! variant gives you
This is the 24V AC/DC version of the LOGO! 24RCE (6ED1052-1HB08-0BA0), the current-generation logic module with onboard display, Ethernet, and integrated web server. It runs off 24 V AC or 24 V DC (permissible range 20.4 to 28.8 V DC, 47 to 63 Hz AC). The power supply doesn't care which flavour you feed it, but the inputs need a clean 24 V level. Memory capacity is 400 blocks, function-specific — enough for moderate sequences, pump alternation, or small HVAC schedules. The 480-hour power reserve holds the program and retentive data across a weekend outage without a battery. Rated -40 to 70 °C, IP20, mounts on 35 mm DIN rail at 4 spacing units wide.
How it compares to the 12 V DC sibling (6ED1052-1MD00-0BA7)
Rated -40 to 70 °C; the 1MD00-0BA7 is limited to 0–55 °C. Memory also differs: 400 blocks here vs 333 on the 1MD00-0BA7. If your program already compiles under 333 blocks, that's not a factor; if you need headroom, the 24RCE gives extra capacity.
Compliance and lifecycle
Requires external short-circuit protection on the relay outputs — the module does not provide integral fusing. Use a suitably rated breaker or fuse on each output circuit.
Mounting and integration notes
Snaps onto 35 mm DIN rail, 4 spacing units (71.5 mm). Earth the DIN rail if used in a metal enclosure. Clearance above and below the module for airflow: 60 mm depth leaves room for wiring ducts behind. Digital inputs are 8 total, no analog mixing — this is the pure 24V input version. Relay outputs rated 10 A resistive, 3 A inductive. For inductive loads (contactors, solenoids), add a free-wheel diode across the load or an RC snubber at the relay contacts; the 3 A inductive rating already accounts for a moderate inrush, not sustained arcs. Ethernet port is on-board; configure via LOGO! Soft Comfort V8 or higher. The web server serves custom pages for status dashboards. Use a standard microSD card for program backup or data logging.
