LOGO! 12/24RCO — compact logic controller for small automation
The Siemens 6ED1052-2MD00-0BA3 is a LOGO! 12/24RCO logic module operating on 12/24 V DC supply, packing 8 digital inputs (of which 2 are usable as analog) and 4 relay outputs into a 4TE-wide housing that snaps onto 35 mm DIN rail. Developed per IEC 61131, it handles small-scale control tasks — conveyors, packaging cells, pump sequencing — where a full PLC rack would be overkill. The 80 h power reserve keeps the program state alive during brief supply interruptions.
Inputs, outputs, and the analog-capable channels
Eight digital inputs accept 12 V DC or 24 V DC signals; two of those inputs can be configured as analog inputs (0–10 V or 0–20 mA typical), letting the module read a simple sensor or potentiometer without an expansion module. The four relay outputs are rated 10 A with resistive load and 3 A with inductive load — enough to switch small contactors, solenoid valves, or indicator lamps directly. No internal short-circuit protection is provided, so external fusing on each output circuit is required.
Panel fit and approvals
At 72 mm wide (4 spacing units), 90 mm tall, and 55 mm deep, it fits standard 35 mm DIN rail enclosures. The no-display variant keeps the panel depth shallow — useful when the module is tucked behind a gland plate or inside a small junction box. Carries CE, UL, CSA, FM, and Marine approvals, so it passes inspection for industrial control panels, commercial equipment, and shipboard automation. Rated for 0 °C to 55 °C ambient — fine for most indoor cabinets but not freezer or outdoor direct-sun locations.
No official replacement or cross-reference is published. The LOGO! family is modular — the base module can be expanded with additional digital or analog I/O modules, communication modules (Ethernet, KNX), and a display module if needed.
